My approach to painting has always been one of responding to the materials and marks in a creative way. Whilst I do sometimes refer to real subject matter, once the painting is started the subconscious takes over to some extent , and any decision making is a response to what I "see' in the image that is forming. Line , colour and form all inform my decision making in the image being formed. I have exhibited with and been a member of the Contemporary Art Society and other exhibitions. I enjoy life drawing as well. |
