ARTIST BIO

I am a Pisces and I have always loved art.  I started off drawing at a young age and progressed onto painting.  I have created many water colours and acrylic art works I have also dabbled with pastels which I love however my passion is definitely using oils on canvas.   I have always copied subjects mostly from photographs however the middle of 2016 I started getting ideas and imagery in my mind and have not wanted to copy a photo ever since.  I recently started painting using a palette knife which has given my work a whole new dimension.  I love the texture that a palette knife gives to my work. I also love the freedom of allowing the paint to flow from my mind directly onto the canvas as I can resume working on a painting virtually any time without painters block.  I have been quite prolific since working this way and never know exactly how a painting will turn out until I've finished.  I look forward to creating many more works and hopefully showing them in various art shows in the future. I hope you the viewer gets as much pleasure from viewing these works as I have creating them.   With Love & Gratitude Anita
