ARTIST BIO

I have been drawing and painting all my life.  My main interest is in portraiture and figure drawing but I also enjoy still life and landscape.   My preferred medium for the past twenty years has been pastel, both for its versatility as a drawing and painting medium and its vibrancy and permanence.  Pastel when protected under glass does not crack, fade or change colour.  I am a member of The Victorian Artists Society and an Honorary member of The Pastel Society of Victoria.  I am a regular exhibitor with both societies and every year since its inception I have  been a demonstrating artist during the VAS annual Portrait Week (now every 2 years).  I have also taken part in many group exhibitions, including the Aviation Artists Society Exhibition at RAN Fleet Air Arm Base in Nowra, the Fine Figures Exhibition at Rivergum Gallery and the Celebrating Colour Exhibition at Spectrum Gallery.
